Good dental habits such as brushing and flossing regularly and regular exams and cleanings now can save you money in the long run. Brushing too hard or using a hard toothbrush. Gentle and soft are keys to brushing.

Biting your nails. Very common, yet a very bad habit. Nail biting can chip teeth and impact your jaw by putting extra pressure on it.
